kilauea Bakery & Pau hana pizza was founded in 1991 by the pickett’s in just half of the building you see today. after literally pushing two old plantation houses together and enclosing the back porch to extend the kitchen, they had just enough space to become the LONGEST STANDING eatery in town. we have them to thank for MOST OF THE RECIPES AND TECHNIQUES WE USE TODAY. IN 2021, AFTER 30 YEARS, THE BAKERY CHANGED HANDS TO LOCAL SAMI LIVÉ AND HER FATHER GERALD. SAMI, NOW 25 YEARS OLD, IS SOLE OWNER AND EMPLOYS HER MOM TIMA AND 38 INCREDIBLE HUMANS WHO KEEP THE SHOW RUNNING FROM 4AM tom 9PM EVERY SINGLE DAY. WHAT CAN WE SAY?
